These rules are not published on line. You may order the Swimming, Diving & Water Polo Rules from NFHS.com Each team is provided a rule book at the beginning the season.
Oregon Water Polo Officials Association (OWPOA) is your resource for information about officiating in Oregon and would like to have more referees available to officiate high school competition. If you are interested in becoming an official, or would like to request a referee clinic in your area, please complete your contact information on RefTown after reviewing instructions.
OWPOA Relationship with Officials
OWPOA serves referees by offering training clinics, by establishing playing rules and any approved modifications for all participants, and by assigning officials for local, district, and state championship tournaments. Officers of OHSWPC, nor OWPOA employ officials in any capacity. Referees are hired as independent contractors, by host institutions for each contest, which are responsible for payment. On some circumstances, other individuals or groups may serve to assign referees to games or leagues schedules.
For any issue related to officiating, including scheduling issues, evaluations, grievances, appeals or complaints, please contact the OHSWPC Executive Director with details.
