2023 Student-Athlete Eligibility
Participation in high school interscholastic athletic programs can will be some of the most enjoyable years of life. OSAA and OHSWP have standards that must be met in order to be eligible to compete. In addition, there may be local school and league standards that also apply. The eligibility standards of the OHSWP have been adopted by the member schools and were accepted by each school when it became a member of OHSWP.
Teams & Leagues
The high school teams are divided into geographical leagues for regular season play which may includes schools from varying classifications (6A/5A/4A). These leagues also represent the qualifying leagues for the larger 6A schools for the State Playoffs and Championships. The 5A and 4A teams qualify for their State Playoffs and Championships based on their geographic 5A/4A leagues. Please see Championships for more information.
